Welcome to NovelCast (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy. This policy describes what information we may collect when you use our website and mobile apps, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and your choices. By using NovelCast, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use NovelCast, we may collect:
- Account data: email, phone, or identifiers from sign-in providers (e.g. Apple, Google).
- Device & log data: device model, OS version, app version, language, coarse region (from IP or locale), crash and performance logs—for reliability and security.
- Usage & preferences: viewing, reading, favorites, and search activity, often in de-identified or aggregated form for recommendations and product improvement.
- Content you provide: support messages, feedback, and survey responses.
- Payments: purchases may be processed by Apple or Google; we may receive limited transaction metadata, not your full card number.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve playback, recommendations, and AIGC-related features.
- Authenticate users, secure the service, detect abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Send service-related notices and, where allowed, optional marketing (you can opt out where applicable).
- Analyze usage and model quality, prioritizing aggregated or anonymized data where feasible.
3. AI & generated content
Some content is created or assisted by AI. We may use interactions (e.g. watch time, likes) to improve recommendations and pipelines. We do not use private communications to train broadly available models unless you separately consent or law requires otherwise—see in-app notices for specifics.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, support, payments) bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Successors in a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.
5. International transfers
If data is processed across borders, we follow applicable law and use appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) and obtain consent where required.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires, then delete or anonymize it.

8. Children
NovelCast is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). If we learn we collected a child’s data, we will delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and post the new version here or in the app. For material changes, we will provide notice as required by law.
